We are in the
environment of the mass media, they transmit messages to us that is their
purpose, however, it may not be neutral or reliable. We should not believe
everything we see and hear. But to protect ourselves from false information and
disinformation and therefore from being manipulated, it is in our hands to
acquire media literacy, so that we can read what is hidden, implicit and not so
obvious. It is useful to be able to interpret media texts with critical
thinking to be able to go beyond the understanding of a text, an idea or a
problem, and therefore with the analysis of data and ideas through observation,
experience and reasoning.
